• Soporte para DDR3 2200+
La P55A-UD3P soporta procesadores Intel Core i7 / Core i5 que cuentan con soporte nativo para memoria DDR3 de hasta 2200+MHz gracias al diseño de Gigabyte, los procesadores Intel Core i7 / Core i5 cuentan con un controlador de memoria integrado directamente en el encapsulado del CPU, en vez de en el puente norte como en generaciones pasadas, permitiendo mayores niveles de rendimiento.

• Soporte para USB 3.0
La serie de placas madre P55A de Gigabyte soporta la última generación de SuperSpeed USB 3.0 siendo esto posible gracias al controlador uPD720200 de NEC.

• Soporte para SATA 6 Gbps
Otra característica incluida en la serie de placas madre P55A de Gigabyte son los nuevos chips SE9128 de Marvell que habilitan la compatibilidad con la revisión 3.0 de la interfaz de almacenamiento SATA, incrementando la velocidad de transferencia a 6Gbps el doble de la vieja interfaz SATA 2.0 (3 Gbps).
